21 years after pioneering the UK's first 'legal' rave promotion (the legendary Jenkins Lane opening party of September 1989), we decided it was time to go back to our Acid House roots and breakdown the doors of a warehouse!
The venue was kept a secret until the last minute and a hardcore following of over 1000 ravers took over the Bocking Street Warehouse in London Fields fopr the first ever Secret Raindance event. That was in July 2010. The party was such a success and so much fun that we're always keeping our eyes peeled for warehouses, arches or other underground spaces we could take over...
In August 2011 we joined forces with London warehouse party stalwarts, Society, for a huge joint event at the incredible Electrowerkz & Islington Metal Works. Over two floors and five rooms the event was a musical and visual celebration of everything from the original rave era.
...and in June this year, we stormed back as close as we could get to our spiritual home, the now closed Drome/seOne club (if only you knew how close we were to actually storming the old place), taking over the equally underground arches of the nearby Jack's. This much underused venue provided the perfect setting for another all-night party, and once again it had all the elements to suggest that we'd actually cracked the challenge of time-travel! MC Creed did a first ever 'back to his raving roots' appearance and none other than Chicago legend Robert Owens was revealed as the secret guest and he tore the place apart.
